Senior Specialist, Supplier Quality

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full responsibility for the supplier qualification program from start to finish, encompassing suppliers, co-manufacturers, co-packers, laboratories, and distribution partners.

• Organize and execute on-site audits throughout the facility network, including distribution centers and co-manufacturers.

• Oversee supplier corrective action (SCAR) management, from identifying root causes to verifying the effectiveness of solutions.

• Develop and uphold supplier scorecards while conducting regular performance reviews.

• Ensure compliance with GFSI, cGMP, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements at supplier and co-manufacturer locations.

• Assist with onboarding new suppliers and ensuring quality readiness for upcoming product launches.

• Travel monthly to supplier and co-manufacturer sites, with visits ranging from 1 to 4 days.


⛳️ Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of experience in supplier quality, food safety, QA, or supply chain compliance.

• HACCP certification with practical experience applying it in a supplier or manufacturing setting.

• Internal Auditor certification with a background in leading authentic audits.

• Direct experience with a GFSI certification scheme such as SQF, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, or a comparable program.

• Experience in conducting or supporting supplier audits and managing the corrective action process from beginning to end.

• Familiarity with FDA food safety regulations and supplier verification protocols.

• Willingness to travel regularly, including multi-day audit visits to facilities across various states.

• Proactive and risk-oriented mindset.

• Capacity to foster strong working relationships with suppliers.

• Organized and driven by data for decision-making.

• Strong communication skills and commitment to follow-through.

• Adaptability within a small, resourceful team.
