Senior Solutions Engineer – NY/NJ/PA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as a reliable technical architect and strategic consultant for Fortune 500 companies and rapidly expanding digital innovators.

• Conceptualize, advocate for, and promote F5 application delivery and security solutions across multi-cloud, hybrid, and edge frameworks.

• Collaborate with CISOs, Cloud Architects, and Platform Engineering leaders to convert business objectives into architectural designs.

• Assist enterprise clients in transitioning from BIG-IP foundations to contemporary hybrid architectures.

• Spearhead technical discovery, design confirmations, and solution presentations for WAAP, Bot Defense, DDoS mitigation, and Zero Trust access.

• Support organizations in modernizing traffic management, Kubernetes ingress patterns, AI inference pipelines, and AI Gateway architectures.

• Showcase Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD workflows to bridge NetOps, SecOps, and DevOps.

• Conduct technical assessments, identify customer priorities, and validate F5’s unique value proposition.

• Convey customer insights to F5 Product and Engineering teams to influence distributed cloud and security strategies.

• Meet designated sales objectives in collaboration with sales and account teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in pre-sales engineering, systems engineering, technical consulting, or a comparable customer-focused systems/solutions architecture role.

• Demonstrated ability to support and build trust with large enterprise clients, especially in high-compliance or heavily regulated sectors.

• Capacity to link in-depth technical skills to tangible business results.

• Previous experience with modern edge cloud/WAAP platforms, API gateway technologies, or hyperscaler cloud networking methodologies.

• Knowledge of securing or optimizing emerging AI workloads, LLM inference endpoints, or contemporary data services.

• Comprehension of Web Application Security, API protection such as OWASP API Top 10, automated threat mitigation, and Zero Trust principles.

• Proficiency with Kubernetes, OpenShift, modern ingress controllers, API gateways, or service mesh technologies like NGINX.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and hybrid connectivity patterns.

• Experience with Python, Go, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, or GitOps methodologies.

• Strong foundation in enterprise ADCs, traffic management, and security infrastructure.

• Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, HTTP/2, SSL/TLS, DNS, and Unix/Linux-based operating systems.

• BS/BA degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent practical industry experience.

• Relevant industry certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
