Senior Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a reliable technical consultant for Enterprise prospects and clients

• Facilitate technical exploration, architecture design, and proof of concept (PoC) execution throughout the pre-sales cycle

• Collaborate with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to develop technical value propositions

• Provide demonstrations, workshops, and proposals customized for C-level and technical audiences

• Build customer trust and credibility, identify technical advocates, and serve as a strategic consultant

• Serve as a connection between clients and Product and Engineering teams to communicate feedback and shape the product roadmap

• Lead technical initiatives across regions and improve SE tools, processes, and frameworks for global scalability

• Guide junior team members and share industry best practices

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of LaunchDarkly’s platform, integrations, industry developments, and emerging technologies

• Respond to RFPs and oversee technical environments that support enterprise sales activities

• Convert complex client needs into scalable, sustainable, and technically robust solutions

• Represent LaunchDarkly at industry conferences and customer engagements with necessary travel

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in a solutions engineering, sales engineering, or systems architecture role that involves customer interaction

• Proficiency in areas such as the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), cloud architecture, or DevOps

• Comprehensive understanding of cloud platforms, with expertise in at least one (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

• Proven track record in leading and documenting proof of concept initiatives and developing technical and deal champions

• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities

• History of providing thought leadership to the wider industry

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as PII, PCI, and HIPAA is advantageous

• Willingness to travel up to 50%
