Senior Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Execute and assist with the installation, upgrades, application configurations, and data migrations for AASHTOWare products and services.

• Oversee multiple simultaneous tasks, prioritizing them based on significance and deadlines.

• Take part in extensive migrations from on-premises systems to AWS and from EC2 to containerized environments.

• Implement AASHTOWare products alongside Infotech services on Amazon Web Services.

• Sustain cloud environments focusing on cost efficiency, availability, reliability, and performance.

• Address alerts and swiftly resolve issues, including occasional after-hours maintenance and on-call troubleshooting.

• Assist in ensuring privacy and security across services and accounts, adhering to NIST 800-53 and GovRAMP controls as applicable.

• Offer technical support to Development, Support, and QA teams.

• Conduct technical training sessions on AASHTOWare products for both new and existing clients.

• Produce technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

• Recognize opportunities for innovation and share ideas to enhance processes, services, and products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, combined with 3+ years of relevant experience in technical troubleshooting and problem-solving, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.

• Proficient in Windows Server administration, including management of IIS and Active Directory.

• PowerShell skills are particularly advantageous.

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code and CI/CD practices.

• Basic knowledge of database administration.

• Extensive SQL experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server for querying complex data, including views, synonyms, triggers, stored procedures, and database links.

• Experience in working with cloud environments and configuration automation, especially with AWS.

• Background in providing technical training.

• Windows Server administration expertise with strong IIS experience.

• DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.

• Knowledge of AWS.

• Proficiency in scripting with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
