Senior Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Lead technical evaluations and demonstrations during presales for AADM, SnapSync, IPAT, and the Ansible Collection.

• Articulate tool architecture and address technically demanding customer inquiries.

• Manage customer onboarding and initial installations across the entire portfolio.

• Provide hands-on troubleshooting assistance in customer environments, including on-site support when remote solutions are not feasible.

• Act as the technical escalation liaison between customers and the engineering team.

• Set up, configure, and maintain InfiniBox arrays and diverse host environments for development and acceptance testing.

• Implement and uphold the acceptance test matrix for each release across supported platforms.

• Conduct first-line triage of field exceptions for AADM and SnapSync.

• Examine tracebacks, console outputs, and log files to determine root causes prior to escalation to engineering.

• Validate release candidates against acceptance criteria before being promoted to stable status.

• Manage the Jira triage queue by filing, classifying, and prioritizing exceptions and customer-reported issues.

• Document lab procedures, known issues, and workarounds.

• Contribute to release notes and documentation intended for customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in a technical field role such as solutions engineering, field applications engineering, professional services, or technical support at an enterprise storage or infrastructure vendor.

• Proven hands-on experience with block storage, NAS, replication, and host connectivity via FC or iSCSI.

• Working proficiency in Linux (RHEL/Rocky/Ubuntu) and Windows Server within storage-connected environments.

• Practical experience with at least one of the following: AIX, Solaris, VMware ESX/vCenter, or Hyper-V.

• Capability to read Python tracebacks and log files to troubleshoot failures.

• Direct experience conducting presales demonstrations or proof-of-concept evaluations as a primary technical resource.

• Experience with on-site customer installations or hands-on deployments of enterprise software.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Preferred: Direct experience with Infinidat InfiniBox.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Ansible or infrastructure automation tools in a customer-facing setting.

• Preferred: Experience with Podman or container deployment and operations.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Jira or similar issue tracking systems for triage workflows.

• Preferred: Experience working in environments utilizing Infinimetrics or similar performance monitoring platforms.
