AI Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, deploy, and maintain internal AI solutions on the company's cloud infrastructure.

• Collaborate closely with business leaders and operational teams to uncover high-impact AI opportunities.

• Develop production-ready AI solutions that provide measurable business benefits.

• Create and develop AI agents, RAG solutions, automation workflows, and structured data assistants.

• Oversee AI architecture from the initial discovery phase through to production and ongoing operations.

• Build retrieval systems, including document ingestion, chunking, indexing, search, and retrieval evaluation.

• Integrate AI with ERP, document management, quality systems, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise platforms.

• Estimate, monitor, optimize, and report on AI usage and expenditure.

• Collaborate with IT on security, identity management, access control, networking, secrets management, and data residency.

• Provide support for the deployment, governance, and adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio.

• Conduct business discovery sessions and convert business challenges into actionable, production-ready AI use cases.

• Present solutions to executives, subject matter experts, and operational users.

• Establish reusable architectural patterns, standards, and governance frameworks.

• Mentor and empower other technical staff as the AI capabilities expand.

• Oversee subject matter expert validation and accuracy reviews.

• Manage projects autonomously from discovery through to production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior Individual Contributor with ownership of architecture.

• Over 5 years in a technical business role such as solutions architecture, systems integration, business analysis, or process automation.

• At least one AI/automation solution successfully deployed to production and currently operational.

• Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform.

• Proven expertise in prompt engineering and AI agents.

• Capable of reading, directing, and debugging code.

• Demonstrated experience working directly with business stakeholders.

• Strong proficiency in Azure AI Foundry or a comparable cloud AI platform.

• Extensive experience with AI agents, tool/function calling, and evaluation.

• In-depth knowledge of large language models (LLMs) such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.

• Strong background in prompt engineering and handling AI failures.

• Profound understanding of RAG, vector/hybrid search, embedding, and retrieval evaluation.

• Strong experience with Azure AI Search or an equivalent platform.

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio.

• Working knowledge of Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, and Microsoft Graph.

• Proficient in Python and SQL.

• Understanding of REST APIs, serverless functions, webhooks, and workflow orchestration.

• Knowledge of OCR/document extraction technologies, such as Azure Document Intelligence.

• Familiarity with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, or similar technologies.

• Understanding of cloud security fundamentals including RBAC, managed identities, secrets, and network isolation.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.

• Strong stakeholder management skills from C-suite executives to frontline operations.

• Ability to translate vague AI interests into well-defined business problems.

• Comfortable challenging unrealistic requirements and appropriately declining requests.

• Excellent presentation, demonstration, and communication skills.

• Capable of building build-vs-buy cases using actual business and cost data.

• Comfortable overseeing subject matter expert validation and accuracy reviews.

• Able to manage projects independently from discovery to production.

• Strong skills in architecture and executive-level documentation.
