Senior Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Lead technical discovery, demonstrations, and validation to demonstrate how GitLab's AI-driven DevSecOps platform fulfills customers' technical and business requirements throughout the entire lifecycle.

• Oversee the technical evaluation process, which encompasses solution design, ownership of POC/POV, workshop design, and technical aspects of tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.

• Collaborate with Account Executives and regional sales teams across Central EMEA to formulate and implement account strategies that support customer acquisition and growth.

• Cultivate relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders, guiding them through transformations driven by GitLab and fostering GitLab advocacy.

• Provide guidance to customers on contemporary software development, CI/CD, security, and cloud practices to enhance return on investment.

• Act as the customer’s voice to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by relaying feedback, use cases, and competitive insights.

• Maintain and expand technical knowledge in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and related cloud technologies, developing reusable examples, best-practice guidance, and technical materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience working with customers in technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar roles, facilitating their journey through solution design and evaluation.

• Expertise in the complete software development lifecycle, including modern DevSecOps methodologies and CI/CD workflows.

• Practical experience with GitLab or similar source control, CI/CD, and collaboration tools, along with the capability to align platform features with customer use cases.

• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and associated technologies, with the ability to discuss deployment, security, and operational options with technical teams.

• Capability to lead technical evaluations such as proofs of concept or value, contribute to tenders or audits, and design and conduct workshops or value stream assessments.

• Strong technical communication and presentation abilities, with the flexibility to tailor messages for a range of audiences, from practitioners to senior business and technical decision-makers.

• Proficiency in building trusting relationships, listening with empathy, and serving as a customer advocate to internal teams, including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.

• Desire to continually advance professionally, including acquiring new technologies, deepening expertise in the GitLab platform, and leveraging transferable skills from related fields.
