Senior Solution Engineer, Retail and Consumer Goods

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Effectively convey Snowflake's technology and vision to both executives and technical stakeholders at potential clients and existing customers.

• Engage directly with prospects and customers throughout the entire sales process.

• Showcase and articulate the value proposition of Snowflake's technology.

• Assist in enterprise proof-of-concept initiatives.

• Participate in the design and implementation of solutions.

• Partner with sales teams and channel partners to understand client requirements and successfully navigate sales cycles.

• Finalize significant deals and business opportunities.

• Maintain an in-depth understanding of competing and complementary technologies and vendors.

• Position Snowflake in relation to competing and complementary technologies.

• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams to enhance Snowflake products and marketing strategies.

• Ensure customer information is kept secure and confidential in line with Snowflake's security protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 7+ years of industry experience, including at least 5 years in a pre-sales role.

• Exceptional presentation skills tailored for both technical and executive audiences.

• Over 5 years of experience in building and deploying machine learning and generative AI solutions in cloud environments.

• A proactive interest in the AI landscape.

• Capability to utilize AI code generation tools effectively.

• Extensive experience with large-scale database and/or data warehouse technologies, ETL processes, analytics, and cloud technology.

• Familiarity with Data Lake, Data Mesh, or Data Fabric technologies.

• Proficient hands-on experience with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python.

• Ability to link customer business challenges with Snowflake solutions.

• Competence in conducting thorough discovery of customer architecture frameworks and aligning them with Snowflake Data Architecture.

• A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent experience is preferred.

• A Master's in Data Science or Business Administration is an advantage.

• Experience with Global System Integrators (GSIs) such as EY, Deloitte, or Accenture is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.
