Senior Solution Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Showcase Snowflake’s technology and vision to both executives and technical contributors at prospective and existing clients.

• Articulate and demonstrate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales process, including demonstrations, proof of concept, design, and implementation.

• Foster and nurture technical champions within accounts to drive deals and secure technical successes.

• Present upcoming features and functionalities of the Snowflake roadmap to customers and prospects.

• Stay informed about industry trends, competitive products, and complementary technologies to effectively position Snowflake.

• Collaborate with fellow sales engineers to learn from both successes and setbacks.

• Work alongside Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams to enhance products and marketing strategies.

• Represent Snowflake at industry conferences and customer events.

• Partner with ecosystem and implementation partners to develop joint architectures and account strategies.

• Contribute to and implement account and territory plans while engaging with a broader internal and external ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in solution engineering or as a solution architect within a SaaS environment, or relevant industry experience in analytics, data science, or data engineering.

• Exceptional presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences, including the ability to conduct impromptu whiteboarding, presentations, and demonstrations.

• Knowledge and experience in data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology.

• Practical experience with SQL.

• Capability to resolve customer-specific business challenges using Snowflake’s solutions.

• Strong customer-facing skills to effectively communicate Snowflake’s vision to diverse technical and executive audiences, both in writing and verbally.

• Python experience is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with modern data technologies such as dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tools, orchestration tools, and Git is preferred but not required.

• Experience with AI, data science, and machine learning technologies is preferred but not required.
