Senior Solution Consultant – Technical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Advance sales initiatives and contribute to revenue generation by promoting Workiva's data management capabilities and platform technologies.

• Act as a vital member of cross-functional sales teams, engaging in account planning and strategic development.

• Lead the technical agenda from the initial engagement phase to the closure of deals.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in cloud computing, data analytics, AI/ML, and cybersecurity.

• Conduct technical discovery sessions with customers to ascertain solution alignment with their needs.

• Prepare and present customized technical demonstrations, presentations, examples, solutions, prototypes, and proofs of concept.

• Collaborate with customer technical teams and business functions across IT, architecture, platform, integration, accounting, legal, finance, sustainability, audit, risk, FP&A, and financial reporting.

• Address EMEA architectural requirements, including data sovereignty, data residency, and GDPR compliance.

• Customize technical messaging and solution demonstrations for multi-currency and multi-entity consolidation.

• Share insights, observations, experiences, and successes with team members.

• Provide feedback to product management, engineering, product marketing, sales leadership, and executive teams.

• Engage with customers and partners to ensure their success and satisfaction.

• Develop a working knowledge of industries, departments, and use cases where Workiva can make a significant impact.

• Pursue innovation and creative problem-solving using the Workiva platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of technical customer-facing experience, preferably in presales, implementation consulting, or training/enablement.

• Proficiency in data management, database design, and analysis.

• Expertise in SQL, data modeling, multidimensional concepts (e.g., Essbase, TM1), relational theory, data transformation (e.g., Alteryx), and advanced Excel skills.

• Experience in designing and understanding enterprise data architecture.

• Practical experience with various AI tools and understanding of concepts like MCP.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, IT security considerations, GDPR and data privacy regulations, and European cloud security standards.

• Preferred: hands-on experience with data platforms, ERPs, performance management systems, or BI platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric/Azure).

• Preferred: hands-on experience with data integration and data integration software (e.g., Alteryx, FiveTran, MuleSoft).

• Preferred: experience in the financial services sector.
