Clinical Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in the execution of remote and on-site chart audits for clients concerning clinical, HOPE, and billing matters.

• Perform ADR/UPIC/SMRC/OIG chart evaluations for clients as requested.

• Compile summary reports on audit findings and send them to the supervisor and client.

• Potentially carry out mock surveys for hospice organizations.

• Stay informed on Medicare hospice topics through websites, teleconferences, newsletters, magazines, and other resources.

• Respond to clinical inquiries from clients or prospective clients via email.

• Participate in teleconferences, meetings, and forums that focus on Medicare hospice issues.

• Possibly conduct related research and write hospice-oriented articles for the HPS Blog.

• Travel roughly one-third of the time.

• Offer clinical consulting services to home care and hospice clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospice auditing/compliance, ideally in the last two years.

• Willingness to travel at least one-third of the time.

• Must be a Registered Nurse or Therapist.

• Experience with Mock Surveys is required.

• Proficiency in multiple EMR systems for hospice is essential.

• Capability to work full-time.

• Salary-exempt status.
