Sage X3 Manufacturing Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Strategize, design, develop, and implement Sage X3 solutions for clients in manufacturing and distribution sectors.

• Perform assessments of client business operations and functional needs.

• Create documentation to effectively communicate and validate findings.

• Evaluate data and existing systems, recommending efficient and cost-effective solutions.

• Record functional requirements, workflows, and system specifications.

• Identify integration points within client systems and advise on connectivity and configuration.

• Complete projects on schedule, within budget, and in ways that exceed client expectations.

• Provide support to clients during system testing and user acceptance stages.

• Maintain ongoing client relationships, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, writing reports, and executing upgrades.

• Collaborate with the sales team on estimates, proposal development, product demonstrations, and pre-sales inquiries.

• Cultivate extensive subject matter expertise in Sage X3 and act as an escalation resource.

• Utilize technical and business acumen to align client requirements with system capabilities.

• Conduct gap analysis and suggest configurations, customizations, third-party tools, or process modifications.

• Complete necessary training on product updates and new releases.

• Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technological solutions.

• Share insights, flag critical issues, and propose process enhancements with colleagues and leadership.

• Build and sustain relationships with client stakeholders.

• Create opportunities to engage clients and share expertise to enhance service quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in implementing Sage X3 in Manufacturing and Distribution settings.

• Practical knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOMs), production scheduling, shipping workflows, and associated manufacturing processes.

• Experience with EDI integrations and the capability to identify and meet integration needs across client supply chain systems.

• Over 5 years of experience in Sage X3 ERP implementations or comparable ERP platforms (such as Epicor, Infor, Syspro, ProcessPRO, MS Dynamics).

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.

• Demonstrated consulting experience with a history of delivering complex software solutions on time and within budget.

• Strong aptitude for converting business requirements into functional solution specifications.

• Experience leading requirements and design sessions through interviews, workshops, and prototype demonstrations.

• Proficient in documenting both business and technical designs for internal and client audiences.

• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, capable of managing a network of client stakeholders.

• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently in fast-paced, high-pressure project environments.

• This is a remote position with at least 50% travel required to client sites across the US.
