Senior Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and architect enterprise-level container platform solutions utilizing Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes within private, public, and hybrid cloud settings.

• Develop strategies for migrating from legacy and VMware-based infrastructures to containerized platforms.

• Deploy, configure, and oversee Red Hat OpenShift clusters for Proof of Concept projects.

• Create tailored YAML manifests, Helm charts, and Kubernetes Operators.

• Implement OpenShift Service Mesh solutions, focusing on traffic management, mutual TLS, observability, and canary deployments.

• Architect and establish CI/CD pipelines leveraging OpenShift Pipelines, ArgoCD, and Jenkins.

• Design container networking solutions utilizing ingress controllers, Gateway API, network policies, Calico, and Envoy.

• Implement observability and monitoring solutions with Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, and custom metrics-based autoscaling.

• Develop automation processes using Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform, Bash, and Golang.

• Architect Kubernetes autoscaling strategies for REST and Kafka-driven applications.

• Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis for OpenShift cluster operations, including scheduling, storage, networking, and upgrades.

• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and field sales to translate customer needs into solution architectures.

• Create reference architectures, solution briefs, blog posts for the Red Hat Developer portal, and official documentation.

• Design and develop Java-based software solutions and Android applications using Java, Android SDK, and Git-based workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Ten (10) years of experience in the offered job or a related position.

• Seven (7) years of experience with Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Docker, container orchestration technologies, Java, and version control systems, including Git and SVN.

• Five (5) years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift service mesh technologies such as Istio and Linkerd, CI/CD pipelines employing Jenkins, ArgoCD, and OpenShift Pipelines, container networking, Calico, Envoy, Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, Elasticsearch, and Fluent-bit.

• Three (3) years of experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform, Bash, Golang, Kubernetes HPA, custom Prometheus metrics, and metric server adapters.

• Two (2) years of experience in Android application design and development using Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, and Maven.

• Experience in developing and releasing Android applications to production.
