Senior Software Systems Engineer, C#/.NET Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain backend services in C#/.NET/AWS that manage high-volume healthcare EDI transactions.

• Parse, validate, and convert X12 EDI documents.

• Troubleshoot intricate transaction-level issues involving payers, clearinghouses, and trading partners.

• Create, optimize, and debug SQL stored procedures, focusing on performance tuning, query analysis, and complex data transformations.

• Query, parse, and manipulate structured XML data within MSSQL.

• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code while engaging in code reviews.

• Contribute to shared platform libraries and services utilized across various product initiatives.

• Engage in technical planning, requirements definition, test planning, and execution with team members and stakeholders.

• Actively participate in daily stand-ups as a member of the software development team.

• Deploy, maintain, and ensure the application’s performance, quality, and responsiveness.

• Provide development support for solutions that are deployed in production.

• Implement long-term solutions and reusable components within an agile framework.

• Advocate for and apply software engineering best practices.

• Utilize Visual Studio and Git.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or a related engineering or technical field is mandatory.

• At least 8 years of experience in software development with C#/.NET technologies.

• Proven experience in managing complex software projects and leading development efforts.

• Experience in designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-level applications.

• Strong expertise in the C#/.NET ecosystem.

• Proficient in back-end application development using design and integration patterns.

• Hands-on experience with AWS (serverless, messaging, storage, databases) is preferred.

• Solid SQL skills, including the writing and optimization of stored procedures, and performance tuning in MSSQL.

• Proficient with Git and GitHub.

• Experience with MSSQL or comparable relational databases.

• Skillful in database design and development, including SQL Server and Entity Framework.

• Familiar with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, along with their services.

• Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools like AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.

• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks and tools such as NUnit, xUnit, and MSTest.

• Proficient in Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a large team environment.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively using JIRA.

• Familiarity with agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (IaC).

• Capacity to conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

• Experience with application performance tuning and optimization.

• Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, and containerization technologies like Docker, ECS, and EKS is a plus.

• Experience in healthcare payer/PBM systems, clearinghouses, or pharmacy operations is advantageous.

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
