Senior Software Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the design, development, and implementation of intricate technical integrations between Workstream's platform and enterprise client systems.

• Design and construct API integrations with client HR, payroll, and POS systems.

• Create reusable integration frameworks and shared libraries.

• Manage the complete software lifecycle from design and development to testing, deployment, and production support.

• Develop data migration pipelines and CSV transformation solutions.

• Create two-way payroll integrations that incorporate complex business logic and error handling.

• Design and implement internal tools that enhance team efficiency, observability, and customer operations.

• Oversee infrastructure-as-code and deployment pipelines utilizing Terraform, GitHub Actions, and related CI/CD tools.

• Leverage LLMs and AI tools to expedite development and create intelligent solutions.

• Review code and provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.

• Establish engineering best practices, integration patterns, and internal tooling standards.

• Advocate for responsible AI practices throughout the team.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape the platform roadmap.

• Lead technical discovery sessions with enterprise clients.

• Translate business and compliance requirements into technical specifications.

• Serve as the senior technical representative in client discussions.

• Develop custom reporting tools, enterprise-grade career site implementations, and AI-assisted customer automation.

• Create internal tools and dashboards to scale Professional Services delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or a similar technical customer-facing role.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Experience in designing and consuming REST APIs at scale.

• Proficient in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or equivalent).

• Proven track record of AI-native development practices — active use of LLM APIs, AI tools, or AI-assisted workflows in previous roles.

• Familiarity with version control and collaborative development workflows (GitHub).

• Experience with workflow automation platforms (Workato, Zapier, or similar).

• Must be available to work during US business hours.

• Ability to write clean, production-quality code and demonstrate systems thinking.

• Proficiency with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted development workflows.

• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and workflow automation platforms.

• Comfort with Terraform, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience mentoring engineers, leading code reviews, and contributing to engineering standards.

• Ability to communicate architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
