Senior Software Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for customer challenges related to Ethernet or InfiniBand network adapter/DPU deployments from start to finish.

• Create features and tools that support Enterprise Service offerings, specifically for Networking products.

• Collaborate with NVIDIA Enterprise customers and internal stakeholders to enhance the availability, reliability, and overall experience with NVIDIA Networking products.

• Utilize independent analysis, effective communication, and problem-solving skills to enhance customer experience.

• Partner with engineering teams to document, replicate, and resolve issues.

• Allocate approximately 50% of time to assisting customers with intricate problems and 50% to research and development-related activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in system software development and troubleshooting, preferably with customer-facing roles.

• Proficiency in developing with C/C++ in kernel and/or application space and/or embedded software.

• Strong familiarity with GNU/Linux tools, utilities, kernel, and networking stack.

• In-depth knowledge of Linux-based virtualization technologies, including namespaces, containers, and Kubernetes.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at a professional level.

• Knowledge of InfiniBand networks, RDMA, RoCE, DPUs, DPDK, HPC applications (MPI/UCX), and OVS is beneficial.

• Practical experience in troubleshooting and analyzing datacenter networking protocols and technologies, including LACP, OSPF, BGP, EVPN, and VXLAN.

• Ability to conduct in-depth analysis of IP, Layer 2 switching, and Layer 3 routing protocols, such as ARP, STP, LACP, MLAG, IGMP, PIM, BGP, and OSPF.

• Contributions to open-source projects related to networking are a plus.
