Senior Software Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the complete quality strategy for a cutting-edge AI-driven web application

• Address the prompt and agent layer, in-browser experience, and the output generated

• Develop and uphold advanced web test automation and the necessary infrastructure

• Construct evaluation harnesses for automated workflows, which include golden prompt suites, regression baselines, model/version comparisons, hallucination and safety checks, and human-in-the-loop review processes

• Guarantee the quality of a real-time web product by focusing on performance, resilience, accessibility, and conducting cross-browser/cross-device testing

• Integrate quality into CI/CD by creating release gates, minimizing test flakiness, and transforming production telemetry into signals for pre-submission

• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to incorporate testability early in the development process

• Mentor engineers on test strategy, automation patterns, and shift-left methodologies

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field

• Over 8 years of experience in customer-facing software quality or SDET roles

• Proficiency in automation using contemporary web frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress

• Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript

• Experience in formulating test strategies for AI, ML, or LLM-powered features

• Solid understanding of API testing, performance and load testing, and observability tools

• Familiarity with tools like Datadog, Splunk, Sentry, OpenTelemetry, or similar

• Exceptional collaboration and communication abilities

• Capacity to influence engineers and PMs early in the development lifecycle

• Openness to adopting generative and AI-assisted development workflows

• Ability to excel in a dynamic, agile, founding-team environment characterized by ambiguity

• Previous experience with creative tools, design-to-code processes, browser-based graphics (Canvas/WebGL), or real-time collaboration technologies
