QA Functional Analyst – Temporary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria to pinpoint scenarios, potential risks, and coverage deficiencies.

• Design and implement functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing procedures.

• Validate business rules and complete workflows across various application layers.

• Utilize SQL to ensure data consistency, transaction integrity, and accurate data persistence.

• Evaluate frontend behavior in relation to backend and database outcomes.

• Document, monitor, retest, and manage defects until they are resolved.

• Prioritize testing efforts based on business and technical risks.

• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and remote teams.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies and communicate updates, obstacles, and quality issues.

• Adapt to evolving requirements while upholding quality under tight deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 3 years of professional experience in Functional Quality Assurance within complex or enterprise-level applications.

• Extensive experience in functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing methodologies.

• Intermediate proficiency in SQL, including joins, aggregations, subqueries, and data validation techniques.

• Proven experience in validating data consistency, transaction integrity, and persistence across frontend, backend, and database layers.

• Knowledge of formal test design methodologies, such as equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, decision tables, and risk-based testing.

• Experience in testing web, mobile, API-based, integrated, or transactional applications.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, autonomy, ownership, and effective communication abilities.

• Background in banking, fintech, insurance, or financial services sectors.

• Experience in testing financial transactions, accounts, payments, loans, balances, or reconciliation processes.

• Familiarity with tools such as Postman, Swagger, Jira, Xray, or Zephyr.

• Exposure to test automation, CI/CD processes, and backend integrations.
