Localization QA Tester, Indonesian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive localization QA test cycles across various platforms, operating system versions, and testing environments, including production.

• Review, verify, edit, score, and translate text across diverse media and content types.

• Assess localized content for tone, grammar, context, cultural relevance, and linguistic accuracy.

• Analyze UI functionality for issues related to truncation, clipping, alignment, wrapping, and encoding.

• Document and monitor bugs clearly and accurately; retest to confirm resolutions.

• Offer constructive feedback and recommendations concerning linguistic errors, user experience issues, and functional defects.

• Contribute to updates and suggestions for Style Guides and Terminology Databases.

• Assist with occasional localization QA tasks, spot checks, and build verifications.

• Work collaboratively with localization project managers, translators, developers, and QA teams.

• Recommend improvements to processes or workflows to enhance QA efficiency, scalability, and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in the target language.

• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).

• Tech-savvy; adept at testing across various tools, devices, and platforms.

• Understanding of QA methodologies, bug tracking, and reporting processes.

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle linguistic or UI issues.

• Capable of communicating findings in a clear and professional manner.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in QA, Localization QA, or linguistic testing (preferred).

• Experience with CAT tools or localization platforms (e.g., Worldserver, memoQ, Smartling, Lokalise) (preferred).

• Familiarity with internationalization and multilingual user experience concepts (preferred).

• Knowledge of various file formats, such as .CSV, JSON, HTML, Unicode, etc. (preferred).

• Strong proficiency in macOS/iOS environments (preferred).
