Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, procedures, and scripts.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.

• Identify, document, and monitor software defects until resolution is achieved.

• Validate software updates, enhancements, and configuration modifications.

• Test application workflows, data interfaces, and database operations.

• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and users to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

• Maintain testing documentation, results, defect logs, and quality records.

• Participate in requirements reviews and software release processes.

• Assist in the testing and quality assurance of software applications, databases, and associated technology solutions.

• Ensure that applications function as intended and satisfy customer and technical specifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, GIS, or a related discipline.

• Experience in software testing, quality assurance, or application support roles.

• Proficient in creating and executing software test plans and test cases.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

• Familiarity with database-driven or enterprise applications.

• Capability to comply with relevant client access requirements.

• Experience in testing GIS or mapping applications.

• Knowledge of Esri ArcGIS applications.

• Experience utilizing defect tracking and requirements management tools.

• Understanding of software development and testing life cycles.

• Experience in a government or large enterprise setting.

• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.

• Competence in typing and reading from a computer screen.

• Adequate mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling.

• Ability to walk moderate to long distances as required.

• Potential capability to lift up to 25 lbs.
