Senior Software Engineering Manager, Financial Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Financial Reporting Experience, Forecasting and Planning, and Record to Report teams.

• Guide, mentor, and coach three teams comprising managers, technical leads, and both onshore and offshore associates.

• Manage hiring processes, performance evaluations, and succession planning initiatives.

• Take ownership of the architecture, design, development, and support for team solutions.

• Assist in the transformation from ECC to S/4 Finance, Store Onboarding, and other significant initiatives.

• Provide planning, budgeting, and forecasting solutions utilizing OneStream, Clarity PPM, SAP BPC, and Longview.

• Deliver financial reporting and analytics through SAP Datasphere, SAP BW/4HANA, BW 7.5, Analysis for Office, Tableau, and Google BigQuery.

• Provide solutions for general ledger, fixed asset, project settlement, intercompany transactions, closing, and consolidation using SAP S/4, ECC, Group Reporting, and Blackline.

• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and technical teams to convert business objectives into implementable solutions.

• Perform cost/benefit analyses and pinpoint opportunities for process enhancements and proofs of concept.

• Establish consistent delivery practices, including SOX controls, change and release management, and production support.

• Typically report to a Technology Director, Senior Director, or Vice President.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years old.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Proficient in an object-oriented programming language, preferably Java.

• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience.

• Over 12 years of experience in IT analyst or consulting roles preferred, including 5–7 years of managing multiple distributed teams with offshore and third-party resources.

• More than 7 years of hands-on SAP experience across S/4, ECC, and BW4HANA preferred.

• Strong understanding of SAP FI/CO, Asset Accounting, and Project Systems in S/4HANA and ECC preferred.

• Familiarity with SAP S/4 Group Reporting preferred.

• Experience with Blackline integrated with SAP preferred.

• Background in configuring and supporting Clarity PPM using MUX, XOG, GEL scripts, workflows, REST API, and Studio preferred.

• Experience in configuring and supporting OneStream, Longview, or SAP BPC preferred.

• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and Google BigQuery preferred.

• At least 4 complete financial implementation cycles and experience in facilitating design sessions preferred.

• Proven experience in delivering business cases, project plans, and staffing plans, with a solid understanding of SOX and financial controls preferred.

• Experience with formal testing tools and Windows Server with MS SQL Server preferred.

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field is required.

• A B.S. in Computer Science or Information Systems is strongly preferred; an M.S. is preferred.
