Senior Software Engineer – Web Rendering Engineer

📋 Description

• Design and develop large-scale rendering systems for contemporary web applications.

• Create browser-based rendering infrastructure that can reliably execute complex JavaScript applications.

• Investigate how modern frontend frameworks render and deliver content efficiently.

• Enhance rendering quality, completeness, and performance across various websites.

• Optimize rendering costs, latency, resource utilization, and throughput at an internet scale.

• Convert rendering research into dependable production systems.

• Construct systems that convert modern web applications into high-quality structured content for search and AI.

• Engage in browser rendering, JavaScript execution, and large-scale infrastructure that processes billions of pages effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a software engineer focused on production backend or infrastructure systems.

• Proficient in various relevant browser rendering and web application technologies.

• Understanding of browser rendering processes.

• Familiarity with the Chromium rendering pipeline, encompassing DOM, Layout, Paint, and Compositing.

• Knowledge of JavaScript execution within browsers, rendering lifecycle, and page readiness.

• Experience with headless browser execution and browser instrumentation.

• Proficient with the Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP).

• Experience with frameworks such as Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium, or similar.

• Understanding of modern frontend architectures like React, Vue, Angular, and Svelte.

• Knowledge of server-side rendering (SSR), client-side rendering (CSR), and streaming rendering techniques.

• Familiarity with single-page applications (SPA) and Progressive Web Apps (PWA).

• Understanding of resource loading, lazy loading, and modern JavaScript bundles.

• A coding interview is required as part of the application process.
