
Senior Software Engineer β Storage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Create and develop control-plane services, drivers (e.g., CSI), and tools that provision, configure, and manage storage for Kubernetes-based AI and compute workloads.
β’ Incorporate high-performance storage solutions such as Dell PowerScale and VAST into automated, declarative provisioning workflows.
β’ Develop data-path, telemetry, and observability tools to identify and resolve performance, reliability, and scaling challenges.
β’ Produce production-quality software primarily using Go, emphasizing strong testing, code review, and operational excellence.
β’ Implement infrastructure-as-code with Terraform/OpenTofu and GitOps-driven pipelines utilizing ArgoCD or Flux for storage configuration and lifecycle management.
β’ Facilitate bare-metal and hybrid provisioning where storage interacts with host and cluster initialization.
β’ Provide storage integration for k0s-based Kubernetes through Cluster API (CAPI) and K0rdent management/child cluster architectures.
β’ Design storage software for fully disconnected (air-gapped) environments, including local artifact/mirror connectivity with Harbor and PKI/TLS considerations.
β’ Take ownership of ambiguous challenges from beginning to end and effectively communicate technical decisions across teams.
β’ Over 7 years of experience with Go in production environments.
β’ More than 5 years of experience in building distributed production systems at scale.
β’ At least 5 years of experience with Kubernetes as a developer, applying an Infrastructure as Code approach.
β’ Fundamental knowledge of Linux and Kubernetes storage concepts, including NFS and CSI.
β’ Proven experience developing production software for real storage systems, including enterprise NAS, scale-out, or object storage.
β’ Understanding of throughput, latency, consistency, and failure aspects within storage infrastructures.
β’ Experience with declarative automation as opposed to manual processes.
β’ Familiarity with Terraform/OpenTofu.
β’ Experience with GitOps pipelines like ArgoCD or Flux.
β’ Knowledge of k0s-based Kubernetes, Cluster API (CAPI), or K0rdent management/child cluster configurations.
β’ Experience working in air-gapped environments, with knowledge of Harbor and PKI/TLS considerations.
β’ Self-motivated and comfortable taking ownership of ambiguous challenges from start to finish.
β’ Effective communicator of technical decisions across teams.
