Senior Kotlin Back-End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and support back-end applications utilizing Kotlin.

• Implement business rules according to defined requirements and solutions.

• Design and create APIs and integrations with external systems and data sources.

• Apply principles of DDD (Domain-Driven Design), Clean Architecture, and Hexagonal Architecture.

• Organize solutions in alignment with the Ports and Adapters model.

• Ensure code quality through automated testing and adherence to software engineering best practices.

• Create and maintain tests using JUnit, Testcontainers, and a class-based testing methodology.

• Contribute to the advancement of both relational and non-relational databases.

• Engage in defining scalable and resilient architectures suitable for distributed environments.

• Participate in artificial intelligence initiatives, including the implementation of business logic related to these solutions.

• Execute prompt engineering as necessary for projects.

• Evaluate the quality and consistency of annotated datasets.

• Identify areas for improvement to better serve customer and end-user needs.

• Ensure the security, quality, and maintainability of the code produced.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in back-end development using Kotlin.

• Advanced understanding of DDD (Domain-Driven Design).

• Familiarity with TDD (Test-Driven Development).

• Knowledge of Clean Architecture principles.

• Experience with Hexagonal Architecture and the Ports and Adapters design pattern.

• Proficiency in Kubernetes.

• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases.

• Understanding of the use cases, benefits, and limitations of each database model.

• Experience with PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with DynamoDB.

• Knowledge of automated testing utilizing JUnit and Testcontainers.

• Experience in system and API integration.

• Understanding of best practices for code quality, security, and maintainability.

• Experience in developing scalable and distributed solutions.

• Knowledge of development related to artificial intelligence solutions.

• Experience with Generative AI projects (a plus).

• Familiarity with prompt engineering (a plus).

• Experience in evaluating and preparing data for AI models (a plus).

• Understanding of event-driven architectures and microservices (a plus).

• Experience in cloud environments (a plus).
