
Senior Software Engineer β Storage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Design and develop control-plane services, drivers (such as CSI), and tools that provision, configure, and manage storage for AI and compute workloads based on Kubernetes.
β’ Integrate high-performance storage solutions, including Dell PowerScale, VAST, and similar systems, into automated declarative provisioning workflows.
β’ Create data-path, telemetry, and observability tools to identify and resolve issues related to performance, reliability, and scalability.
β’ Produce production-quality software primarily utilizing Go, emphasizing strong testing practices, code reviews, and operational discipline.
β’ Implement infrastructure-as-code and GitOps-driven pipelines for storage configuration and lifecycle management.
β’ Facilitate bare-metal and hybrid provisioning where storage intersects with host and cluster setup.
β’ Provide storage integration for k0s-based Kubernetes using Cluster API and K0rdent management/child cluster architectures.
β’ Design storage software for fully disconnected air-gapped environments, taking into account local artifact/mirror connectivity and PKI/TLS considerations.
β’ Take ownership of ambiguous challenges from start to finish and effectively communicate technical decisions across teams.
β’ Over 7 years of experience with Go in production environments.
β’ More than 5 years of experience in building distributed production systems at scale.
β’ At least 5 years of experience as a developer in Kubernetes, applying an Infrastructure as Code approach.
β’ Understanding of Linux and Kubernetes storage fundamentals, including NFS and CSI.
β’ Proficiency in Python is preferred.
β’ Experience in developing or integrating high-performance storage solutions for GPU/AI workloads is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with high-throughput data pipelines and GPUDirect Storage is preferred.
β’ Proven track record in sovereign or high-security air-gapped environments is preferred.
β’ Capability to analyze throughput, latency, consistency, and failure across a storage stack.
β’ Experience with declarative automation and production software development.
β’ Strong emphasis on testing, code review, and operational discipline.
β’ Self-directed mindset with the ability to take ownership of ambiguous challenges from start to finish.
β’ Effective communication skills for conveying technical decisions across teams.
