This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Serve as a full-stack web developer on a team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing one or more Rustici Software products.
• Oversee current codebases, supplementary management tools, interfaces, and implementations.
• Address technical debt, resolve bugs, optimize processes, and create test code.
• Draft technical specifications for larger features prior to implementation.
• Manage new features from inception to completion, including code review and quality assurance.
• Recognize possible enhancements and new features by utilizing customer feedback and engineering insights.
• Engage in weekly standups and in-depth technical team meetings.
• Guide junior developers by sharing techniques, successes, and lessons learned.
• Consistently enhance technical skills, tools, existing capabilities, and business knowledge.
• Report directly to an Engineering Manager as an individual contributor.
• Only candidates based in the US will be considered.

• Proficient in web application development using modern frameworks in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar, especially in extensible, scalable, high-performance, and secure implementations.
• Experience in front-end SPA development using Vue, React, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS is required.
• Proven experience in implementing automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Knowledge of modern software development lifecycle processes, including agile methodologies, task estimation, version control, quality assurance, and release management.
• Experience with Unix CLI tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with deploying web applications, particularly in AWS, is advantageous.
• Experience in writing technical and/or functional specifications is essential.
• Proven ability to mentor fellow engineers.
• Experience with cross-team collaboration involving support, product, and operations teams.
• Capability to code in multiple languages and/or familiarity with various frameworks.
• Ability to balance the production of quality code with the need for quick resolution of customer issues.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
