This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland, +1 more state.
• Develop, construct, and manage backend services using Python/Django to facilitate customer provisioning, permissions/packaging, self-service purchasing, and subscription lifecycle processes.
• Create and execute APIs and event-driven integrations among Muck Rack, Salesforce Revenue Cloud, Stripe, RightRev, and other operational systems.
• Spearhead the advancement of Muck Rack’s internal integration platform.
• Establish integration patterns, API agreements, event models, and scalable technical solutions in collaboration with Product, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Salesforce implementation partners.
• Oversee medium-to-large engineering projects from architectural design through to production.
• Recognize inter-system dependencies and technical risks, facilitating decisions to remove delivery obstacles.
• Produce clean, well-tested, and documented code; perform code reviews and offer technical guidance.
• Enhance the reliability, observability, scalability, and performance of services critical to revenue.
• Resolve intricate production issues across distributed systems and integrations.
• Participate in shaping the long-term architecture of the revenue platform as self-service purchasing and Product-Led Growth functionalities evolve.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Strong expertise in Python and considerable production experience with Django.
• Proven experience in designing and constructing REST APIs, as well as integrating third-party platforms and external systems.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, especially MySQL, and ORM patterns.
• Experience in designing scalable and maintainable backend services within a SaaS environment.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, or messaging platforms like Kafka, Celery, or similar technologies.
• Capability to independently manage technical initiatives from architectural design through to production.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support skills across distributed systems and integrations.
• Proficient in using Git and modern collaborative software development practices.
• Exceptional communication abilities, with the skill to convey complex technical matters to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
