Senior Software Engineer – Real-Time C++, Linux, Edge-to-Cloud Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain production-quality software systems in both edge and cloud environments.

• Construct and enhance real-time data processing pipelines and system services that support live traffic operations.

• Create and manage backend services, REST APIs, and integrate with third-party platforms and services.

• Contribute to the development of internal web applications, dashboards, and operational tools for monitoring and managing deployed systems.

• Integrate software with sensors, cameras, traffic controllers, and various edge devices.

• Analyze, debug, and optimize system performance across application, operating system, and networking layers.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate production issues in distributed and real-time environments.

• Enhance system observability through logging, monitoring, diagnostics, and performance tracking.

• Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and automation tools.

• Collaborate with ML, QA, deployment, and product teams to deliver sturdy, production-ready solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering or a related discipline.

• Proficient in C++, Python, or both.

• Extensive Linux development experience.

• Experience in building, maintaining, or integrating backend services, REST APIs, and web applications.

• Familiarity with third-party APIs and software integrations.

• Strong grasp of multithreading, concurrency, system performance, and production troubleshooting.

• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and secure connectivity.

• Proficient with Git, testing frameworks, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Experience with cloud platforms, containerized applications, or distributed systems is advantageous.

• Exposure to edge computing, embedded Linux, hardware integration, sensors, or IoT systems is beneficial.

• Familiarity with frontend technologies, internal tools, dashboards, or operational web applications is a plus.

• Experience with computer vision pipelines or ML-driven systems is an added advantage.
