This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Approach product challenges from foundational principles through to implementation, focusing approximately 70% on backend and distributed systems and 20–30% on frontend work.
• Create dependable backend systems and assist in developing frontend components for a holistic product experience.
• Enhance the incrementality product into a dependable, repeatable experimentation platform.
• Establish near-real-time ingestion and processing capabilities that extend beyond traditional batch workflows.
• Build AI-driven workflows that empower marketers to assess performance and capitalize on insights.
• Refine connection-state systems and expand the partner ecosystem for data ingestion and exports.
• Engage in product domains such as role-based access control (RBAC).
• Assist in frontend tasks as required.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and designers.
• Aid in transitioning new products and features from initial traction to significant scale.
• 5+ years of experience in designing and developing distributed backend systems, microservices, APIs, and/or data processing systems using Python.
• Several years of professional experience in constructing system architecture.
• Experience working alongside product managers, designers, and data scientists while independently driving implementation and delivery.
• Prior experience in startups or environments requiring a broad skill set, sound judgment, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven ability to translate vague product requirements into robust technical architecture and production-ready solutions.
• Proficient in navigating complex datasets and interconnected tables to troubleshoot issues, trace dependencies, and determine the optimal path forward.
• Practical frontend experience with React and TypeScript; deep specialization in frontend development is not necessary.
• Strong coding fundamentals and capacity to independently resolve technical challenges.
• Ability to leverage AI as an enhancer rather than a replacement for core capabilities.
• Generalist approach with a readiness to work across backend, frontend, pipelines, and infrastructure.
• Experience in data-heavy backend engineering combined with completed frontend work.
