This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design dependable backend systems while also contributing to frontend components to provide complete product experiences.
• Expand the new incrementality product into a dependable and repeatable experimentation platform.
• Create near-real-time ingestion and processing capabilities that go beyond traditional batch workflows.
• Develop AI-driven workflows that assist marketers in evaluating performance and acting on insights.
• Enhance connection-state systems and broaden the partner ecosystem for data ingestion and exports.
• Focus on product areas like role-based access control (RBAC).
• Provide support for frontend tasks as necessary.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and designers.
• Address product challenges from foundational principles through to implementation and delivery.
• Over 5 years of experience in designing and constructing distributed backend systems, microservices, APIs, and/or data processing systems using Python.
• Several years of professional experience in system architecture development.
• Proven experience collaborating with product managers, designers, and data scientists while independently managing implementation and delivery.
• Previous experience in a startup environment or similar settings that require versatility, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to translate ambiguous product requirements into technical architecture and production-ready solutions.
• Proficiency in navigating complex datasets and interconnected tables to troubleshoot issues, trace dependencies, and determine solutions.
• Experience with frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript; deep specialization in frontend development is not mandatory.
• Strong coding fundamentals with the ability to resolve technical challenges independently.
• Ability to leverage AI as an enhancer rather than a replacement for core capabilities.
• Generalist approach with a readiness to work across backend, frontend, pipelines, and infrastructure.
• Background in data-intensive backend engineering while also delivering frontend work.
