Senior Software Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Create, construct, and sustain integrations that link the platform with external network systems and controllers.

• Develop discovery agents/workers that securely connect to client infrastructure to retrieve device, interface, and topology information.

• Construct and maintain services and APIs that facilitate the transfer of discovered data into the platform's declarative ingestion layer.

• Write and uphold unit tests using pytest and aid in end-to-end test automation with Playwright, Docker Compose, and CI.

• Investigate and implement AI-driven engineering practices to accelerate and enhance development and testing processes.

• Collaborate closely with a compact, cross-functional engineering team.

• Suggest and implement enhancements for the platform that extend beyond core integration functionalities.

• Contribute to architectural and design decisions as the integrations platform evolves.

• Produce clean, maintainable, well-tested code and engage in code reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive professional experience with Python.

• Regular, hands-on use of AI coding tools (preferably Claude Code) within your engineering workflow.

• Experience in building and maintaining integrations or APIs (REST).

• Familiarity with gRPC is highly advantageous.

• Strong background in unit testing, preferably with pytest.

• Proficient in Docker and Docker Compose.

• Experience with Kubernetes.

• Working knowledge of fundamental networking concepts: IP vs MAC, VLANs, VRFs, DNS, BGP, ACLs.

• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/SQL).

• Comfortable working in a startup-like, fast-paced, and proactive environment.

• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana and/or Prometheus).

• CI/CD experience (ideally with GitHub Actions).

• Familiarity with cloud computing (preferably AWS, e.g., EC2, S3, EKS).

• Proficient in English (minimum C1 level).

• Experience with Go.

• Experience with MQTT.

• Familiarity with FastAPI.

• Experience with Swagger and/or Postman.

• Experience with Playwright or other end-to-end testing frameworks.

• Experience with Ansible.
