Senior Software Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain integrations that link the network source-of-truth platform with third-party network systems and controllers.

• Create discovery agents/workers that securely interface with customer infrastructure to retrieve device, interface, and topology data.

• Establish and uphold services and APIs that facilitate the delivery of discovered data into the platform's declarative ingestion layer.

• Craft and sustain unit tests using pytest, while also contributing to end-to-end test automation with Playwright in Docker Compose through continuous integration.

• Investigate and implement AI-assisted engineering methodologies, including Claude Code-driven testing procedures.

• Work closely with a compact, cross-functional engineering team.

• Suggest and assist in executing enhancements for the platform beyond the essential integration tasks.

• Participate in architectural and design decisions as the integrations platform evolves.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, and engage in code reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive professional experience with Python.

• Practical, daily use of AI coding tools, preferably Claude Code, within your engineering processes.

• Background in building and maintaining integrations or REST APIs.

• Familiarity with gRPC is a significant advantage.

• Robust unit testing experience, ideally with pytest.

• Proficiency and experience with Docker and Docker Compose.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes.

• Working understanding of fundamental networking concepts: IP vs MAC, VLANs, VRFs, DNS, BGP, ACLs.

• Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL/SQL.

• Comfort in a startup-like, fast-paced, and proactive environment.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools, such as Grafana and/or Prometheus.

• CI/CD experience, ideally using GitHub Actions.

• Experience with cloud computing, preferably AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, EKS).

• Proficient in English, with a minimum level of C1.

• Experience with Go.

• Experience with MQTT.

• Basic knowledge of FastAPI.

• Familiarity with Swagger and/or Postman.

• Experience with Playwright or other end-to-end testing frameworks.

• Experience with Ansible.
