Senior Software Engineer, PLM Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage backend services, integrations, automation, and tailored extensions for a Product Lifecycle Management platform.

• Integrate PLM with ERP, analytics, ECAD, and various downstream enterprise systems.

• Take full responsibility for solutions from architecture and coding to CI/CD, Kubernetes deployment, observability, and production support.

• Offer hands-on technical assistance as a senior individual contributor.

• Conduct production troubleshooting and maintain operational oversight.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 11 years of experience in building and supporting production backend software.

• Profound expertise in contemporary backend development; proficiency in C#/.NET is preferred.

• Strong proficiency in Java, Go, or Kotlin is acceptable, provided there is a willingness to work in C#/.NET.

• Experience in cloud-native engineering, preferably with Microsoft Azure; AWS or GCP experience is also acceptable.

• Practical experience with containers and Kubernetes, including real-world troubleshooting capabilities.

• Solid API and enterprise integration experience.

• Familiarity with REST APIs.

• Knowledge of API pagination, retries, idempotency, and handling of partial failures.

• Experience with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect/OIDC.

• Proficient in relational and document data modeling.

• Experience in infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD ownership.

• Familiar with Bicep, Terraform, ARM, Azure DevOps Pipelines, or similar tools.

• Strong understanding of code-level design patterns and SOLID principles.

• Expertise in automated testing, production telemetry, troubleshooting, and operational management.

• Excellent written communication skills for design documentation, runbooks, and engineering notes.

• Interest in product-engineering areas, including product definitions, BOMs, engineering changes, and release processes.

• Preferred background in PLM, PDM, ERP, CAD, or engineering systems.

• Experience with PTC Windchill is a significant advantage.

• Preferred experience with Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, Event Grid, or other message-driven architecture.

• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Application Insights, Grafana, or related observability tools is preferred.

• Experience in modernizing legacy applications while ensuring production stability is preferred.

• Experience utilizing AI-assisted engineering tools effectively for development, debugging, testing, and documentation is preferred.
