Senior Software Engineer – PHP, TypeScript, Node.js

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and implement new features while addressing scalability issues.

• Take full responsibility for projects from the initial idea to stable production deployment.

• Create backend functionalities using PHP 8.x and Symfony, including domain logic, APIs, and integrations.

• Collaborate on the frontend using TypeScript, React, and TanStack to develop modern interfaces and product-focused workflows.

• Build Node.js services with TypeScript and Next.js.

• Develop JVM microservices using Java and Kotlin in the e-invoicing sector.

• Migrate data, refactor existing modules, and progressively modernize legacy PHP components.

• Troubleshoot issues and debug applications effectively.

• Utilize Claude Code extensively as a productivity enhancement tool.

• Contribute to infrastructure and local Docker-based development environments.

• Actively shape the evolving landscape of e-invoicing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant, self-driven senior experience in software development with PHP and Symfony.

• Strong expertise in domain design, testing, and performance enhancement within a sizeable, long-term codebase.

• Depending on your specialization, additional experience with TypeScript and React is beneficial.

• Proficient in relational databases such as MySQL, including skills in query optimization and data modeling for extensive datasets.

• Independent, driven, and well-organized work style.

• Capable of making sound technical decisions and rapidly adapting to new systems.

• Proficient in German with good command of English.

• Bonus: Familiarity with Node.js, data structures and algorithms, distributed systems, and data-intensive applications.

• Bonus: Experience with JVM languages like Java or Kotlin.

• Bonus: Contributions to open-source projects or public experiments on GitHub.
