Senior Software Engineer – Partner Integrations, Origination Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable backend services and platform functionalities that facilitate origination workflows across various products and lending partners.

• Enhance the reliability, observability, and operational resilience of essential origination systems and APIs.

• Refactor and separate legacy systems to establish reusable, product-agnostic platform infrastructure that can scale across different partners and product categories.

• Construct orchestration and workflow solutions that simplify partner onboarding, minimize manual operational tasks, and enhance system consistency.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Lending Partnerships, Compliance, Legal, and Loan Sales teams to provide secure and scalable lending experiences.

• Lead technical design discussions, draft design documents, and contribute to engineering best practices for system quality, monitoring, and operational excellence.

• Employ AI-assisted development tools and automation strategically to boost engineering productivity and minimize repetitive workflows.

• Engage in operational support and incident response, assisting in identifying root causes and implementing long-term system enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent) along with 4+ years of experience in software engineering.

• More than 6 years of experience in building and managing backend services, APIs, or data-intensive systems within production settings.

• Proven experience in owning software throughout the entire development lifecycle, encompassing design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and on-call support.

• Proficiency in at least one modern backend development framework or programming language; experience with Ruby on Rails or the ability to quickly adapt to a Ruby-based codebase.

• Experience in designing distributed systems, service integrations, or workflow-based architectures that promote scalability and reliability.
