Senior Software Engineer, Ops Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee projects alongside engineers, product managers, and operations to achieve critical goals

• Play a vital role in setting the team’s technical direction and maintaining engineering standards

• Recognize, articulate, and resolve technical challenges while upholding engineering quality

• Evaluate and make decisions regarding technology and architectural choices

• Execute troubleshooting and comprehensive incident response, including mitigation, correction, and prevention strategies

• Guide and mentor engineers to foster a culture of engineering excellence and constructive feedback

• Conduct interviews for software engineering positions

• Contribute to shaping the overall engineering culture of the company

• Enhance business processes and create systems for vehicle repair quality, asset logistics, data management, and warehouse effectiveness

• Develop scalable backend solutions that support Lime’s global fleet operations

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience

• Proven experience in building and maintaining high-quality software that drives business outcomes

• Proficient in collaborating across various functions with product managers and stakeholders to convert business needs into technical solutions

• Experience in performing code reviews and enforcing best practices for scalable and maintainable code

• Familiarity with designing scalable and resilient system architectures

• Capacity to offer technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers

• Preferred experience with Ruby on Rails

• Must be able to work remotely from Canada

• Willingness to take part in a shared on-call rotation
