Android Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Create and develop sophisticated applications for the Android platform

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver features

• Integrate with external data sources and APIs

• Address bugs and enhance application performance

• Continuously explore, assess, and apply new technologies

• Collaborate with engineers to design and produce sustainable, forward-compatible code

• Engage in the development of new features, application optimization, and maintenance

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong grasp of Computer Science principles, OOP/OOAD, and the ability to apply them practically

• Familiarity with design patterns and SOLID principles

• Comprehensive understanding of the entire mobile development lifecycle

• High proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages

• In-depth knowledge of Android SDK, platform architecture, and development best practices

• Experience with modern Android UI development using Jetpack Compose and XML layouts

• Proficiency in asynchronous programming with Coroutines and Flow

• Experience with dependency injection frameworks like Dagger

• Familiarity with unit testing and UI testing frameworks

• Proactive problem-solving skills and an engineering mindset

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

• Experience with debugging tools and performance profiling

• Knowledge of memory management and performance optimization techniques

• Experience with IoT, video streaming, or Bluetooth technologies is an advantage
