Senior Software Engineer – Node.js, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop the web platform that drives the entire business process

• Serve as the primary developer for AI-driven solutions

• Facilitate the integration of Python-based AI tools into Node.js and Python backends

• Design, create, and manage web services and APIs using Python, Node.js, or other specialized technologies

• Uphold coding standards to ensure code is clean, stable, concise, and extensible

• Diagnose, debug, and promptly resolve production issues

• Collaborate with teams across AI, product development, front-end, QA, DevOps, and external partners

• Make architectural decisions that balance scalability, performance, and maintainability

• Assess industry trends and propose enhancements at the product level

• Mentor both new and existing team members

• Manage and prioritize the technical backlog

• Maintain technical documentation and communicate effectively with the team in English

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in designing, developing, and operating production web services

• In-depth knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, complexity, and concurrency

• Strong expertise in distributed systems

• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and at least one server framework such as Express or NestJS

• Experience in creating and maintaining production-quality RESTful APIs

• Solid understanding of API versioning, authentication, rate limiting, and pagination

• Expertise in scalable architectural patterns, including microservices, event-driven systems, and CQRS

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines

• Strong SQL skills, including schema design, indexing, migrations, and performance optimization

• Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• Proficient in English

• Nice to have: experience with AWS deployment and operations, Python and Python server backends, end-to-end technical project experience, and familiarity with MongoDB
