Senior Software Engineer – Mobile, React Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and develop mobile features aimed at learners using React Native (Expo), which includes creating screens, managing navigation, and handling state management.

• Construct within a shared TypeScript framework that is utilized by other client interfaces.

• Take full responsibility for mobile delivery from the codebase to the app store, encompassing build configuration, versioning, code signing, and submissions to the App Store and Google Play.

• Initiate and utilize the EAS Build mobile CI/CD pipeline through GitHub Actions.

• Incorporate Claude Code into the GitHub and development workflows.

• Implement best practices concerning type safety, testing, and accessibility.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with backend and platform teams.

• Provide mentorship to peers and coordinate with parallel engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in mobile development.

• A proven history of delivering production React Native applications or equivalent native apps to actual users.

• Extensive, production-level experience with React Native, preferably with Expo’s managed workflow and the New Architecture.

• Practical experience managing mobile release engineering from start to finish.

• Familiarity with signed builds, app versioning, store submissions, TestFlight, Play internal tracks, reviews, and staged rollouts.

• Proficient with GitHub for version control, code reviews, and collaborative efforts.

• Basic knowledge of iOS and Android code signing processes.

• Understanding of shared design-system utilization and client-side state management methodologies.

• Exceptional communication skills for mentoring peers and aligning with parallel engineering teams.
