Senior Software Engineer – Microservices, Kafka

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices based on Java using Spring Boot.

• Create and manage enterprise APIs utilizing Apigee X.

• Develop and support an event-driven architecture leveraging Confluent Kafka.

• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.

• Create secure, high-performance, and resilient applications in accordance with industry best practices.

• Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases.

• Utilize GitHub for source control, code reviews, and CI/CD processes.

• Integrate applications with Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and Cloud APIs.

• Diagnose, debug, and resolve production issues.

• Engage in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and technical discussions.

• Contribute to architecture design, performance optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Investigate and utilize Python and Neo4j to enhance platform functionalities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Java application development.

• Strong practical experience with Java Microservices and Spring Boot.

• Familiarity with Apigee X API Management.

• In-depth knowledge of Confluent Kafka and event-driven architecture.

• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD methodologies.

• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL databases.

• Basic knowledge of Python.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, and Cloud APIs.

• Familiarity with Neo4j graph database is preferred.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Capacity to work effectively in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Willingness to continuously expand expertise in cloud-native technologies, distributed systems, and contemporary software engineering practices.

• Preferred certifications include Google Cloud, Oracle Java, Confluent Kafka, Spring Professional, and API Management certifications.
