
Senior Software Engineer β Marketing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Act as the technical steward for Close.comβs marketing website.
β’ Develop and consistently enhance a responsive, highly engaging, and polished website.
β’ Launch new pages and refine essential site functionalities.
β’ Take ownership of website performance, technical SEO, and visibility to search engines and AI agents.
β’ Manage and advance the Sanity platform, its components, integrations, and deployment infrastructure.
β’ Ensure proper implementation of tracking, attribution, conversion events, and funnel data.
β’ Collaborate with Marketing on measurement and experimentation initiatives.
β’ Create automations and workflows to assist Marketing in deploying pages, campaigns, and experiments.
β’ Enhance website functionalities to identify regressions and highlight performance and SEO challenges.
β’ Provide engineering support for broader Marketing-related issues.
β’ Work closely with the Marketing team, including a Marketing Designer.
β’ Report through the Engineering department.
β’ Around 5+ years of experience in building marketing websites.
β’ Proven experience in building, owning, and collaborating on websites long-term.
β’ Ability to create visually appealing, conversion-oriented websites.
β’ Skilled in motion design, advanced CSS, and rich media.
β’ Strong emphasis on page speed, technical SEO, and website visibility by search engines and AI agents.
β’ Familiarity with modern technology stacks, such as Astro.
β’ Experience with headless CMS platforms, with Sanity experience being relevant.
β’ Knowledge of cookies, conversion events, analytics, and experimentation tools.
β’ Proficient with tools like Segment, Amplitude, or Customer.io.
β’ Experience in building systems that allow marketers and designers to operate independently.
β’ Familiarity with guardrails, automations, and relevant tooling.
β’ Experience leveraging AI to enhance productivity and empower teams.
β’ Capability to collaborate across Marketing, Engineering, departments, and levels.
β’ Must be legally authorized to work in the US; candidates should clarify any visa requirements.
β’ Willingness and ability to travel internationally for week-long team offsites.
