Senior Software Engineer, LIMS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver an intuitive and effective experience for clients through customer-oriented web applications.

• Collaborate with the architecture team to guide intricate system design.

• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to the development team on industry best practices.

• Make pivotal design and technical implementation decisions while steering the engineering vision.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into scalable, reliable, developer-friendly microservices APIs.

• Design, build, and sustain systems that support business applications.

• Enhance processes and procedures while promoting best practices.

• Engage in comprehensive compliance initiatives from start to finish.

• Execute technical design, develop new functionalities, and maintain existing components.

• Regularly work with PHI in both paper and electronic formats.

• Complete HIPAA/PHI privacy, policy, and procedure compliance, along with security training within the initial 30 days.

• Stay updated on Natera training requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related program, or equivalent experience.

• Over 7 years of comprehensive software development experience.

• Proficiency in building secure, scalable web applications utilizing Java and other web technologies.

• Familiarity with object-oriented programming in Java, Spring Frameworks, and Hibernate.

• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.

• Knowledge of front-end development using React, Sass, and JavaScript is a plus.

• Experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails frameworks is advantageous.

• Background in micro-service enterprise architecture, cross-platform integration, and scalable applications in diverse environments.

• Understanding of software development lifecycle processes, including build, software configuration, change control, release, and deployment.

• Strong skills in relational database design and optimization.

• Familiarity with object-oriented programming, Spring Framework, relational databases, SQL, AWS services, Docker/container technologies, REST APIs, event-driven microservice architecture, front-end technologies, Linux, and CI/CD.

• Proven teamwork and analytical abilities.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
