Senior Software Engineer – Laravel, Next.js, PostgreSQL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create new functionalities for a large-scale web application.

• Comprehend and engage with an existing production codebase.

• Develop and sustain Laravel APIs along with backend services.

• Craft frontend features utilizing Next.js and React.

• Finalize the transition from MongoDB to PostgreSQL.

• Enhance PostgreSQL queries and overall database performance.

• Integrate and manage third-party APIs.

• Oversee cron jobs, queues, scheduled tasks, and background workers.

• Work alongside the DevOps engineer on deployments, CI/CD, and infrastructure upgrades.

• Resolve production issues and implement enduring solutions.

• Improve application performance, scalability, and security.

• Engage in architecture discussions and conduct code reviews.

• Provide mentorship to junior developers when necessary.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development.

• Proficient in Laravel.

• Strong experience with Next.js and React.js.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL.

• Solid understanding of MongoDB.

• Experience in building and utilizing REST APIs.

• Practical experience with Docker.

• Skilled in working with Linux servers.

• Knowledge of CI/CD workflows.

• Excellent debugging and problem-solving capabilities.

• Experience with production applications.

• Ability to swiftly grasp extensive codebases.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Familiarity with SaaS platforms, enterprise software, high-traffic web applications, AI-powered products, payment gateway integrations, ERP integrations, queue management, Redis, cloud infrastructure, or performance enhancement is a plus.
