This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, develop, and uphold cutting-edge software applications and services that support Magna's Jury Consulting division.
• Collaborate with consultants, business stakeholders, product managers, and engineers to transform business challenges into scalable technical solutions.
• Convey technical concepts, architectural choices, trade-offs, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Design, construct, and sustain applications, APIs, and services utilizing suitable technologies.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly experiences using contemporary front-end frameworks when applicable.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance development efficiency, code quality, and speed of delivery.
• Engage in architecture discussions, conduct code reviews, and participate in technical planning; mentor fellow engineers when appropriate.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps methodologies.
• Oversee, troubleshoot, and optimize production applications for reliability and performance.
• Assess emerging technologies, including AI capabilities, to enhance engineering efficiency and devise innovative solutions.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 3 years of professional experience in software engineering, focused on developing and supporting production-grade applications.
• Strong expertise in at least one modern programming language such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience in designing, building, and deploying modern web applications and APIs.
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering principles.
• Capacity to swiftly learn and become proficient with new technologies, frameworks, and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to work independently in a remote setting.
• Proficient communication skills for effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
• Experience in Agile software development environments.
• Passion for AI-assisted software development and a readiness to incorporate modern AI tools into daily engineering practices.
• Preferred experience may include .NET/C#, Node.js, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, cloud platforms, Git, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, AI/LLM integrations, data visualization, and experience in regulated industries.
