Senior Software Engineer – Javascript, Ad Tech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Write and deploy production code on a daily basis as a senior hands-on developer.

• Review pull requests from peers and collaborate with engineers to maintain the quality of the codebase.

• Act as a subject-matter expert for Prebid.js and Prebid Server.

• Provide guidance on wrapper architecture, bid adapters, identity, consent, floors, and analytics modules.

• Monitor Prebid releases, changes in OpenRTB specifications, and new header-bidding standards.

• Convert developments in the ecosystem into platform recommendations and upgrades.

• Take full ownership of the header bidding wrapper from end to end, including architecture, release cycles, feature integration, and design decisions.

• Work daily with Google Ad Manager, GPT, and the IMA SDK.

• Ensure high-quality JavaScript and TypeScript client-side scripts are running across thousands of publisher sites.

• Evaluate and safeguard Core Web Vitals, including INP, LCP, and CLS, along with memory usage, execution time, and network overhead.

• Take responsibility for deployed solutions, ensuring reliability and addressing critical issues to maintain system stability and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with Prebid.js, including wrapper configuration, bid adapters, and modules (identity, consent, floors, analytics).

• Comprehensive understanding of the auction lifecycle.

• Familiarity with Prebid Server, covering stored requests, server-side adapter configuration, s2s routing, and more.

• Strong knowledge of Google Ad Manager, encompassing GPT, line item architecture, key-value targeting, unified pricing rules, dynamic allocation, and additional aspects.

• Over 4 years of experience in JavaScript development, with significant experience in TypeScript.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (e.g., GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery) for deploying and managing high-throughput services.

• Broad understanding of ad tech, including OpenRTB, SSP/DSP integrations, identity solutions and EIDs, consent frameworks (TCF/GPP), Amazon TAM/APS, and video (IMA SDK/VAST).

• Strong background in asynchronous programming and knowledge of client-server architecture.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work in a distributed team environment.

• Proficient in technical documentation and communication.
