Senior Software Engineer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Serve as a Senior Software Engineer with a primary focus on Java development.

• Create solutions utilizing Spring Boot, Quarkus, microservices, and distributed architecture.

• Design, document, and implement REST/JSON APIs.

• Construct resilient, scalable, and high-performance architectures.

• Engage with event-driven architecture using RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Amazon SQS.

• Develop applications for Unix and Linux platforms.

• Implement unit testing and carry out code refactoring.

• Employ observability practices utilizing New Relic, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch.

• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, AWS, Jenkins, GraalVM, and Native Image.

• Collaborate in agile settings using Scrum, Lean, or Kanban methodologies.

• Contribute to products and solutions aimed at simplifying the financial lives of individuals and businesses at PagBank.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.

• Proficient understanding of data structures and algorithms.

• Familiarity with concurrent programming.

• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, REST, and JSON.

• Proven experience with Spring Boot and Quarkus.

• Experienced in unit testing.

• Background in code refactoring.

• Skilled in designing, documenting, and implementing APIs.

• Experience working with distributed, resilient, scalable, and high-performance architectures.

• Proficient in Java.

• Experience in developing microservices.

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture, including RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Amazon SQS.

• Experience with developing applications for Unix and Linux environments.

• Skilled in observability tools including New Relic, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch.

• Knowledgeable in non-relational (NoSQL) databases.

• Understanding of AWS services.

• Familiarity with continuous automation tools such as Jenkins.

• Knowledge of relational SQL databases.

• Experience with agile methodologies like Scrum, Lean, or Kanban.

• Experience with Amazon Lex, Amazon Kendra, Amazon Rekognition, and AWS Lambda.

• Familiarity with GraalVM and Native Image.

• Knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Nice to have: understanding of multi-agent orchestration; experience with NLP/NLU and machine learning libraries; familiarity with speech-to-text and text-to-speech technologies; and experience in creating, testing, and optimizing prompts for LLMs and generative AI platforms.
