Senior Software Engineer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain Java applications, APIs, and microservices utilizing Spring Boot.

• Engage in the squad’s architectural decisions by assessing and justifying technical trade-offs.

• Create asynchronous integrations and guarantee the integrity of transactional flows.

• Instrument, monitor, and provide support for services in a production environment.

• Leverage Artificial Intelligence tools in software development, critically analyzing their output while ensuring the quality and security of solutions.

• Perform code reviews, enhancing code quality and sharing technical best practices.

• Guide and foster the technical growth of team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience in back-end development with Java and Spring Boot in a production setting.

• Proficient in developing microservices and REST APIs.

• Familiarity with messaging systems, such as Kafka, SQS, or equivalent technologies.

• Knowledge of cloud computing and containerization.

• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD processes.

• Proficient in relational databases, including data modeling, transactions, and query optimization.

• Experience with non-relational databases like Redis, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.

• Understanding of criteria for selecting relational and non-relational databases based on solution requirements.

• Experience utilizing coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor, with the ability to critically assess AI-generated code.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of Terraform.

• Understanding of observability.

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture.

• Background in payment services, fintechs, or financial institutions.

• Experience with high-volume, highly available systems.
