Senior Software Engineer, Interoperability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Streamline the complexities of healthcare by creating systems that enhance human productivity.

• Develop and sustain production software that adheres to healthcare interoperability standards like FHIR and HL7.

• Design and test APIs, services, and data pipelines that utilize FHIR resources and HL7 messages.

• Convert standards and implementation guidelines into code, data models, validation logic, and automated tests.

• Maintain the clinical significance and data integrity as information transitions between systems.

• Acquire new tools and technologies to tackle challenges and further team objectives.

• Assist in defining and upholding development practices, which include writing tests and documenting key implementations.

• Collaborate with Product Managers and operational teams to create new features.

• Work alongside engineers, data scientists, and healthcare professionals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in building production software using FHIR and HL7.

• Over 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.

• Proficiency in Python, Javascript, or Go.

• Experience in crafting SQL queries in Postgres, MySQL, BigQuery, Snowflake, or other database systems.

• Background as a data engineer focused on cleaning, normalizing, and enhancing data quality.

• Capability to create and utilize RESTful APIs.

• Familiarity with cloud services like GCP or AWS.

• Experience with gRPC is a bonus.
