Senior Software Engineer in Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Collaborate in a pair programming environment with a small, agile team of developers.

• Engage with the Lead QA Engineer and Head of Engineering to shape the overall technical SQA strategy.

• Convert specifications into comprehensive test plans, concise Jira tasks, and production-ready code throughout a three-week agile sprint cycle.

• Investigate new testing frameworks and methodologies to determine their relevance to the Converge Unity platform.

• Develop automated tests for GraphQL API queries and mutations.

• Create automated tests for on-demand data collection and ETL jobs utilizing Airflow.

• Implement automated testing using Playwright for the React front end.

• Generate test reports via QA Touch.

• Develop libraries for data anomaly detection.

• Execute queries on the GraphDB using Cypher.

• Perform continuous testing of microservices through CI/CD pipelines.

• Refactor and maintain the existing Python codebase.

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders across the organization.

• Prepare and deliver presentations to Converge stakeholders.

• Provide assistance with broader platform development as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in SQA.

• At least 3 years of professional experience in Python development.

• Over 2 years of experience testing React front-ends using Playwright.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Strong understanding of version control best practices with Git.

• Proficiency in feature stores, graph databases, SQL, NoSQL, data lakes, and various data storage technologies.

• Experience in creating microservices utilizing Docker containers.

• Capability to sit for extended periods at a desk and work on a computer.

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
