QA Engineer, Test Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement functional, regression, integration, acceptance, and exploratory testing protocols.

• Conduct testing of web applications across various browsers and screen resolutions.

• Validate intricate workflows, edge cases, and database state utilizing SQL.

• Document and monitor bugs in Jira and confirm resolutions.

• Establish a test automation framework from the ground up.

• Create comprehensive end-to-end tests with Playwright using TypeScript and/or Python.

• Generate API tests for REST/FastAPI endpoints.

• Employ mocks, fixtures, and dependable test data to maintain automation reliability.

• Analyze failures through logs, network requests, browser DevTools, and test outcomes.

• Define the scope of regression testing and assist in assessing release readiness.

• Integrate automated testing into GitHub Actions/CI pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of QA experience with customer-oriented software.

• Proficient in both manual testing and automation methodologies.

• Practical experience with Playwright.

• Background in designing an automation framework from scratch.

• Strong skills in debugging and troubleshooting.

• Effective experience in bug reporting and defect management.

• Knowledge of FastAPI/Python.

• Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL.

• Familiarity with B2B/data-intensive applications.

• Experience with REST API testing using Postman or Playwright.

• Basic understanding of performance/load testing.

• Knowledge of accessibility testing principles.
